The New Central Library

Oh my goodness gracious, can I just say how much I'm looking forward to the opening of the Minneapolis Central Library? I go by it nearly every time I take the bus and it taunts me, all book filled and open and airy and spacious, with its microfiche and fireplaces and biography section and teen reading section and science fiction selection and presumably more hours than the other Minneapolis libraries. The grand opening is May 20th, in eight days. On that day, there will be free rides on the bus system if you can show your library card.
It's quite something, that when I left Minneapolis, both the central library and the Guthrie were under construction, and I get to come back after nearly a year and half right when the new facilities are about to open (the new Guthrie opens on June 25th).
