May. 19th, 2004 04:32 pmI went out to lunch with Professor Moltchanova today. I thought it would just be a go-to-the-snack-bar-and-talk-it-out-over cheese sandwiches event, but she took me to Chapatis, her treat. And then, when I came back from my 5a, she'd sent me a long list of articles and books that would allow me to pursue some of the things I've been interested in. Wow! How come that never actually happened to me within my own department?
In other news, I had a strange talk with someone at one of the apartment complexs I'm looking at about St. Paul being a blue collar neighborhood and yuppie urban professionals (which, the guy said, any Carleton grad automatically was) being much happier in uptown.
It is very weird to consider that I will soon qualify as a yuppie urban professional. Gah!
