Jun. 25th, 2004 11:34 pmHmm. My life. I finally was able to clear the drop cloth from the floor of the main room in my apartment. With the floor revealed, it feels a lot more like a home. Or at least a hotel room, one of the temporary places I was able to find some solitude during my trip to Europe. I'm not yet certain if I'm allowed to put things on the wall. It will feel more home-like if I can.
What did I do today? I moved furniture. I walked in one direction and bought files for organizing all of the random pieces of paper I have lying on the floor. I located a mail box near my apartment. I took the bus in the other direction to try to sell of some of the books I don't want to keep. I bought a wrap-around skirt made of really sowft (soft with a New York accent) cotten that I've had my eye on. All the meanwhile, I did not do all of the things on my to-do list that it's harder to motivate myself to do: writing cover letters and thank you notes and emails, researching more job opportunities, dealing with the new phone with all the features that doesn't work, actually organizing said papers, doing laundry.
