Aug. 16th, 2004 08:36 pmI went to the post office to retrieve my yearbook today. They may have forgotten to tell seniors on the east side of campus to turn in their pictures. They may have completely omitted senior quotes. They may have even forgotten to photograph Benton House residents. But the layout is pretty and the photos they chose seem to me to be slightly classier than last year's (a higher ratio of people partner dancing to people with beer bottles in hand) and it made me smile as I flipped through it. Everyone is smiling and no one has their eyes closed in the Sci-Fi club picture; there was a good photograph of Jess and Taylor, another good photograph of Des and Wakey, and enough silly antics to remind me of the spirit of my four years there.
My job search has come to a standstill. I've heard back from everyone except MPR. And so tomorrow, I'm going to call up the DFL job line and arrange an interview for a job standing on a street corner and asking for donations and volenteers for Kerry. I've really loved the past few months, living by myself and reading and cooking and watching movies, but it's time to actually get out in the world. If I get the job, I'll still conduct a job search because I don't intend to stick around in that job, but I'll also be making contacts and money at the same time.
