Dec. 6th, 2004 01:01 pmThere were three jobs newly posted in the Star Tribune yesterday for which I plan to apply. This is A Good Thing, but unfortunately that means three fresh new cover letters and three more revamps of my resume, which feels like A Bad Thing.
I worked for the first time on Saturday. First-timers often don't get any donations the first two days, but I got a $25 donation and a $50 donation. It's a job that works best when you are relaxed, so the boss people do their best to make us relaxed and encourage a social environment. It's nice. Amazing how many people don't answer their phones, though, even with call waiting.
We recently had the first snow of the year, signaling the beginning of winter. I went out to buy boots because the only pair I had was an unprofessional pair of hiking boots with paint splotches. I ended up finding not only a decent pair of boots with only a slight heel, but also these slippers that look like the donkey from Shrek, which I got from half-price because of the boots. The slippers are wonderful. My feet go in the mouth, so it looks like the donkey is eating me from the feet up.
