Another update
Feb. 12th, 2005 10:18 amSo, life. Last night I met Melissa Rifkin at a restaurant in Georgetown called Amma's Vegetarian Indian Kitchen, which I suspect will be one of my favorite restaurants in the DC area. Work is three or four blocks away from the Francis Scott Key bridge, which crosses the Potomac and ends in Georgetown. I've crossed the Key bridge twice, both times at the very end of sunset. The looming Georgetown Cathedral makes it remind me of some of the bridges in Central European cities. My landlord called me up during dinner to ask me to feed the cat this weekend since he and his girlfriend are gone on a ski trip. Feeding Dixie doesn't worry me, but leaving her alone while I'm out does, since she is a very social cat, used to constant attention, and she might start ripping things up. My project this weekend is, unfortunately, clothes shopping.
I seem to have volunteered myself to give a partner training in Rochester New York on March the 19th since my coworker who is in charge of this partnership will have a friend in town that weekend and the other coworker who could have given it was out sick. This includes public speaking. We'll see how this goes. When I signed up for this job, I didn't know it would include travel. (Ashley, if you'd like to come into town over Spring break, it actually makes more sense not to do it over the weekend since more things should be open--and I'll be able to take time off to show you around since I worked over the weekend.)
