Update

I still don't have housing and the clock is ticking. This sucks. I'm really hoping the place I visit tomorrow works out.

The housing market for cheap rooms to rent in the DC area near public transportation is very competative right now, particularly given that schools are just letting out for the summer. Moreover, a lot of the rooms don't have enough room for all my furniture. And I'm learning that the possibility of really having a bookcase that can fit the books I'd like to have shipped from home is really important to me. A home isn't a home without books...
