Dec. 5th, 2005 07:08 pmIT's SNOWING! IT'S SNOWING! It's finally snowing! There's probably two inches on cars and on top of grass. YAY FOR SNOW!
There was general tension in the air and announcements on my metro train coming home that old people, very young people, and people with cardiovascular problems should not change trains at the above ground stations. I wondered if there really was some sort of severe weather problem, but knowing Washington and its general wimpiness when it comes to all things snow and cold, I imagined not. When I exited to outside, it was quite lovely: almost no wind, very light snow. I was perfectly comfortable without a hat. When I checked, according to weatherunderground.com, it was 29 to 33 degrees, with "occasional light to moderate snow." It's the sort of thing that makes my inner voice grumble "Y'all are wimps, and I don't mean weakly interacting massive particles! When I was in Minnesota, this was GOOD weather."
