I am very much looking forward to handing out Halloween candy to trick or treaters tonight. This is the first time in a very long time that I've lived in a house as opposed to an apartment or dorm on Halloween, and so--teeheee!--I get to hand out candy to trick or treaters. Yesterday, I saw a little human being walking out of Kowalski's with her mother wearing one of those full body fuzzy pajamas in green with a stuffed animal aligator head on top. So very adorable.

I also did the whole Halloween celebration with ones' peers thing on Friday night and got dressed up as Michele Bachmann. I was going for scary, and I think it worked.

In other news, books that I have been or am reading:

-Read: Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson
-Reread: The Diamond Age by Neal Stephenson
-Read: The Man of My Dreams by Curtis Sittenfeld
-Am currently working on for a book club: American Gods by Neil Gaiman
-Am currently working on because my father sent it to me: The Introvert Advantage: How to Thrive in an Extrovert World by Marti Olsen Laney
-Was working on, but have paused: Debating the Good Society: A Quest to Bridge America's Moral Divide by Andrew Bard Schmookler
-Intend to start working on for another book club: In Cold Blood by Truman Capote
