Ever got a present that you hadn't asked for or had any reason to expect, but through some strange synchronicity was exactly what you wanted?
Well, my father had warned me to make room in my luggage for a present that Linda got me in China. From the size he described would be necessary, I was expecting a vase, or a statue or something. Then last night, he pulled out of his luggage (drum roll please!) an almost complete set of Buffy DVDs, complete except for the one season (6) I already owned. Diana (my step sister) had asked for the complete set of Friends DVDs, which gave Linda the idea for my present.
I even have season 7, which isn't yet available in the US. Amazing! And the fact that it was every season of Buffy except the one I already had... wow. I think most people deserves a prefect surprise present like this atleast once every three or four years.
In any case, my DVD player at home, which is built into my TV, is not regionless, so I'll have to purchase a region-free DVD player. It should still cost less than the entire set of Buffy DVDs purchased in America and it'll be a good thing to have in general.
