Movie and Book Recommendation

If you're ever in the mood to see the plot of Macbeth made into a very bizarre, modern day comedy, I recommend Scotland, Pa. Giving away any of the other details would rob this movie of its surprise. Please note that a mood to see the plot of Macbeth transformed into a comedy is a very strange mood indeed.

One of my purchases at Green Apple was Ex Libris by Anne Fadiman (familiar to my fellow Carleton class of '04 as the author of The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down, our common reading). It's a slim volume of essays she wrote about her particular brand of bibliophilia. I read it in one cozy afternoon under a blanket, listening to the rain outside. It's a lovely book about books.

I'm still reading Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. It's an ingenious book, but it's taking forever.

I will look into those.

When do you move? Because, before you do, I must harass you.

Take care o' yourself.

Don't worry. There will be mutual harassment. I'm going to try to get to Northfield this week, before I leave for my first orientation. And, depending on the moving company I ultimately decide on and their schedule, either a moving and cleaning party at my apartment and/or a second visit to Northfield between my first and second orientations.
