Well, shucks.

I didn't get the job. It's the first time I interviewed for a job (as opposed to an internship) and didn't get it. It had to happen some time.

On the other hand, at least I've got closure and when I apply for insurance, I won't have to wonder if, uh oh, the job might come through and then I'd have two forms of insurance.

I've been working on getting closure on a lot of stuff. Working towards closure, and getting closure, is satisfying. Particularly getting closure.

two forms of insurance is better than none. especially if your job's paying for one, because then you don't have to worry about paying twice (at least quite so literally). but don't forget, in the future if it happens, that you can cancel insurance once your work-based one kicks in.

sorry to hear about the job. you'll just have to go get yourself a job that's twice as kick-ass just to prove them wrong about you. ;)

Indeed. Thank you. I found a job as secretary to the director of human resources at the Smithsonian that would certainly be an interesting intro to how the Smithsonian works--that might qualify as twice as kick-ass. :-)

*HUGS* I'm sorry.
