Pleasant amazement

The doctor who performed my wisdom teeth removal this morning just called up to check on me. I'm quite amazed, and pleasantly so. This has never happened to me before. Admittedly, I've never gone through surgery before, except as the baby being delivered in a C-section, but I never figured that in this age of anonymous medicine, I'd get a call from a doctor who didn't know me already.
---
The numbness in my face is completly gone, which is nice, because now I don't have the baby food moth problem. Time off for my wisdom teeth is proving to resemble vacation, with the exception of more popsicles and cold compresses.
---
I watched a lovely, low-key, German romantic comedy about a chef and the pleasures of food called Mostly Martha that I found at the library while doing the aforementioned popsicle consumption and icing. I recommend it as a low-key, relationship-y movie.
