I had a dream where people wanted to find me and hook me up to a computer because of my extensive reading on Veblen. It was some sort of post-apocaylptic world that functioned rather like the Underworld in Neil Gaimon's Neverwhere, and people kept stealing things from me. And I was either trying to get to Philadelphia and access this computer or else escape from the people that owned this computer and get to Puxatawney- I think this changed several times over the course of the dream: I'd consent to go to Philadelphia and then I'd decide against it and try to get to Puxatawney and then the people with the computer would catch up with me and convince me to change my mind.

I've been wondering what I'm going to do over Spring Break. I don't want to go home and I don't particularly want to stay in Northfield. I saw this ad for an alternative spring break working for the League of Conservation Voters, but I just went to the meeting and it turns out it's a five day conference at the beginning of Spring Break. It sounds interesting & useful (i.e., something I could put on a resume and also good life experience), but it's only five days. I proposed going and then going on a road trip back to Minn. to Callen, but her mother wants to take her to Mexico over break.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions or want to go with me?
