So I finally heard back from the Youth Venture people and they've moved their orientation to after the AmeriCorps orientation, so my schedule probably (per my Youth Venture contact, the AmeriCorps people are flaky) now looks like this:
-Americorps orientation in either Charlotte, NC or Atlanta from either the 24th or 25th through the 28th
-Youth Venture orientation from Jan the 31st through Feb the 4th.
The new schedule gives me more time, but now I need to rethink how I'm going to do everything, change my sublet advertisement, contact the one response I had to my sublet advertizement, etc. I plan to go to DC to look at housing and meet roommates in the middle of the month sometime, but the question is whether I'll move to DC and move my stuff in before the first orientation or after.
