It's pretty amazing that I've been working at Youth Venture and been in the DC area for seven months. How much has happened with the organization within that time and yet how little! How much has happened with my social life in that time and yet how little!
The major differences in the past few weeks are that my roommate has returned from Japan, that I've been taking keyboarding (typing) classes, and that I had some interesting, dispiriting interactions with CNCS (government agency that runs AmeriCorps) about volunteering with the Katrina Resource Center. Looks like I won't be able to do it because it would get in the way of spending time with my boss when she comes into town.
