Warning: slight ick factor
Nov. 23rd, 2005 08:55 amI had a weird experience recently, with a good ending.
I was chewing a caramel, and suddenly there were these very very hard bits in it. I went to investigate, and they were little chewed up pieces of metal. It turns out that my caramel had taken out a filling. It wasn't painful, I promise. Just surprising. The good ending was that I found out from my one co-worker who has a dentist (everyone else being AmeriCorps VISTAs) about her dentist, who is about a block and a half away from my office. Her dentist turned out to be wonderful. I had an emergency visit at her office that very day and got my filling refilled the very next day, at a price that was far below what I thought I would have to pay. And in terms of not proding uncomfortably around my mouth and having a good office environment, she was the best dentist I've ever been to. I'll recommend her to you,
halfsparkle and
zenpenguin if you ever have dental needs.
Oh, and now I'm back in the Bay Area.
