Missing snow

I foolishly didn't check my flight status before leaving to go to the airport today (even though I recieved something from the Washington Wheadonites asking if we wanted to reschedule the meeting tomorrow in case of bad weather..naturally I laughed this off thinking that the meeting location was two blocks away from the metro and didn't think to wonder whether this would impact my travel plans), and when I arrived found out that all of Frontier's flights to the East Coast had been cancelled. So I will miss the Washington Wheadonites meeting and a talk at Politics & Prose that I had been planning on attending--which probably won't be held anyway because of the weather--, and will get some more time to talk about job-y stuff with my step-mother and give my comments on his book to my father. Overall, this is largely a good.

However, I will note that it will snow in DC and I will miss it AGAIN. There will have been three incidences of snow this winter in DC and I will have missed two because I was in the Bay Area.
