Today I really wanted to be done with work at 3 so that I could spend some time with A. before he leaves for a conference. I worked 11 hours on Wednesday because I was attending a client convention, and a little bit of overtime the other days this week besides, so I was really hoping that that would be possible. But instead, because the nature of this work is that if a client says "jump! now!" I have to jump, I ended up working until 6 and not being able to see A. Boo.
