I went into Berkeley to frost "non-demoninational holiday" cookies with Erica. It was nice to see her and her dog Ozzie, big gallut that he is. Afterwards I went shopping for new clothes for Christmas Eve in the little boutique-y places that my mother tends to patronize because my mother will have my head on a platter if I don't produce a nice-looking (to her) set of Christmas clothes. End result: zero pieces of clothing, four books. After visiting several stores and trying on I-don't-know-how-many blouses and dresses, I got kind of discouraged and let myself go into The Other Side of Hobbit, this little sci-fi bookstore in Berkeley. I bought myself all four books of a four book Star Trek series, reasoning that I'd never see them all in one place again. Typical.
