I went to a peace vigil today. It was rather fun: people lining the sides of a bridge connecting St. Paul and Minneapolis during rush hour, holding placards and making peace signs at the people in the cars. The weather was hot, but we were right over the Mississippi. There were lots of old people and a few young people and very little in between: the in between liberals were in those rush hour cars, honking and waving back at us. It's rather amazing to think that most of the old people had been using those very same peace signs back in the sixties.
