Me. A computer with memory and internet access. Exclamation points.

I have a new computer! A wonderful, gorgeous new computer replete with possibilities! It has memory! (My old computer most decidedly did not) I can store MP3s! I have internet access in my apartment! No more one hour sessions of internet access in the library with people coughing and talking and field slowly counting down remaining minutes! No more keyboard of death in my local internet cafe! Whoop-di-do!

So, I'm borrowing a meme from Des that I shouldn't, because I haven't asked him a question. But, I've spent most of the evening setting up my computer and it's near my bedtime so my imagination is rather dull.

Without further ado, the meme:
Ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about.

Yay for new computers! With memory! Now you can store lots of PGSM on your computer! You know you want to.

As for the question, hmmm . . .
Why are/were you Moosey-Moose?

I was moosey-moose.. partly because I wanted an excuse to put pants on my head (which I ultimately did not since there wasn't room on my head with antlers), but mostly because a group of us were going to be the thingy-things. I don't think there were many of us in the end, though.

because I am uncreative, I will ask the same question I did of Des...

What are your favorites: Song, book (other than your own), movie, TV show (if applicable), color, etc?

[identity profile] levertovfan.livejournal.com 2004-11-13 02:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Favorite song: "My Sweet Carolina", as sung by Ryan Adams and Emmylou Harris

Book: Looking over at my bookshelves, a few contenders are "A Wrinkle in Time", "Babel Tower by A.S. Byatt, "The Giver", "Mother Night" by Vonnegut, "Other Powers: The Age of Suffrage, Spitiualism, and the Scandalous Victoria Woodhull" by Barbara Goldsmith, "Baron in the Trees" by Italo Calvino, the collected Denise Levertov (when it comes out)....

Movie: "Mother Night." "Return of the King" is probably a second.

Miniseries: The BBC's Pride and Prejudice. I watched part of it this morning.

TV Show: A toss-up between TNG and DS9.

Color: Periwinkle.

Well, for a general lack of creativity right now... what is do you consider your greatest achievement to date?

[identity profile] levertovfan.livejournal.com 2004-11-15 12:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Most of what I've done in my life is academics, so it would make sense if my greatest achievement were something academic... but it isn't. It's preserving my sanity and silencing my temper in the face of many trials.
