Really long-arse update on my vacation to come later, but for right now..
Sometimes, it feels like I live in a really huge city were I only know and would say hi to maybe fifteen people that I know outside of work.
Other days, such as last night, I'm wandering through my metro station and see a face that looks familiar. I look. I tell myself I'm seeing resemblence where none exists. I look again. And it's another member of the Carleton class of '04. (Sarah Martinsen, for those curious) We have a conversation with several statements followed by exclamations of "so do/did I!." It turns out that we live in adjacent buildings in the same housing complex. We're only overlapping for two-ish months before she moves out, but nevertheless at some times the world is a surprisingly small place and that is a reassuring thing.
