Sep. 7th, 2005 12:14 pmIt's been a long, weird few days, both nationally and personally. There's the bad news of Hurricane Katrina, the death of Renquist, and Bush's nomination of Roberts for the Chief of the Supreme Court, and then there's the really, really, really good news that the California legislative branch modified state laws to accept same-sex marriage, pending Schwartzenegger's veto and the approval of the courts. There have been a lot of changes in the lives of my friends, and news from my mother about Grandma's behavior post-Grandpa. And then there's work and orientation and a conversation with my boss before she left for her wedding where she left me in charge. I hosted Katie H from the Minnesota Youth Venture office, who was in town to run orientation, on Monday and we had some interesting talks about the organization. *And* I'm starting to think that maybe I want to go to grad school in public policy, with an eye towards non-profit management. With all of this stuff going on, I'm feeling kind of tired and am very much looking forward to going home and running a marathon of the first two disks of Babylon 5's 2nd season.
zenpenguin, the transformations on the Babylon 5 season 2 DVDs are indeed as strange as you said they would be.
On Sunday, I also saw Callen and two of her friends. She was in town because her friend Ginnie is starting georgetown law. We wandered the National Zoo and later got a pitcher of mango margaritas(!) at an Indian food place.
